EUSA Split 2017 officialy announced

EUSA Split 2017 championship has been officialy announced at the press conference held at University sport association of Split headquarters, in which EUSA 3x3 basketball, beach vollyball and sport climbing will be held. Events at Riva, Poljud and Žnjan from 25th to 30st July were represented by co-organizers-mayor Andro Krstulović Opara, vice-rector for students of University of Split, prof.dr.sc.Boris Maleš and president of the University sport association of Split,Toni Gamulin.

 

“We decided to support this event because we believe that our future relies on our students. Croatia and Split youth along with their colleagues from over 27 countries through sport has opportunity to learn about fair-play and make new friends. These are the main reasons why I would like to invite everyone to visit and support sport events. I wish all the best for all participants on and off the sports venues and hope they will enjoy in Split.”- says the major Opara.

 

After Europe university basketball championship which was held in Split in 2013.

this will be the second largets sport event in city under Marjan from university sport field.

 

"Having the opportunitiy to organize this type of event in our city and our University gives clear message from Europe that our student sport develops in right direction. In last five years, since University of Split university sport organization rebranded to Unisport ST, we made huge steps towards availability of student sport both for recreation and competitive purposes. Sincere thanks goes to all deans of faculties of the University of Split, collegues at the University, Student centre, City of Split, and all the partners and individuals that helped us organize this event both for the City of Split and the University of Split"- said vice-rector for students Boris Maleš.

 

At the press conference public was introduced with the programme of the events, especially for the opening ceremony which will be held in wednesday, 26th of july at the Split's Prokurative. On the same day competition will start from 9 am tomorrow on all locations.

 

"Participants will have rich programme beside sporting events, and we are sure that Split will remain in great memory. Ofcourse, organization of the event large as this one would not be possible without strong support of all of our partners and volunteers, and I would like to thank them in front of the organizing comitee." - started president of the University sport association of Split, Toni Gamulin and concluded with a call to all fellow citizens to visit all sporting venues and chear for the teams.
